                                  Sales Policy

Platinum Oaks does not operate on a first come first serve basis.  We want to ensure that the best home is available for all of our animals that we have made available.

Platinum Oaks reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time at our discretion.

Platinum Oaks reserves the right to refuse or cancel any sale.

Registered stock will come with ADGA and AGS registration, or with registration applications.

All goats will be vaccinated, disbudded, tattooed and microchipped prior to leaving unless otherwise noted.

All goats will leave our farm healthy.  All of our kids are put on Calf Pro, a coccidia prevention, after the first 48 hours of birth.  A health certificate from our vet is available at buyers expense.

Transportation, and all costs associated with transportation, is the responsibility of the buyer.  We HIGHLY recommend having transport options in place PRIOR to placing a deposit.  We are more than happy to help arrange transportation for your goat(s).  Air shipping and most ground shipping are not an option during the Texas summers due to the heat.  There are private individuals that can transport in a climate controlled vehicle.

Generally, we do not sell adult goats as singles.  Adult goats do MUCH better with another goat they already know when introduced to a new herd.  It makes the transition easier for them and sets them up for success.  They are sold with a companion (another doe or a wether, or with their kid(s)).  However, we can discuss this on a case by case basis with the buyer, but the well being of the goat is our main priority.

All sales are final but we do ask for the right of first refusal if the buyer can no longer keep the goat.  The buy back option can be handled on a case by case basis but, generally speaking, this would be the original purchase price or current fair market value, whichever is less.  If we are not in a position to buy the goat back, we will do our best to help you find an appropriate home for the goat.

We offer a free interest/waitlist on planned breedings.  Once the kids are evaluated, we will contact those on our list to discuss available kids.  Once contacted, you will have 48 hours to decide if you want to proceed with the purchase.  At that point, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be required to reserve the kid.  The deposit can be paid by Zelle or Venmo friends and family option. Deposits will only be refunded if the reserved goat dies under our care or we cancel the sale.  If the buyer cancels the sale for any reason during any point of the sales transaction , the deposit and any other monies paid will not be refunded.  If the buyer does not take possession of the goat on the agreed upon date, and no other arrangements have been offered by the buyer within seven (7) days from the date of the original pick up date, then we reserve the right to cancel the sale and the deposit will not be refunded.  The balance will be due when the goat is picked up.  No goat will leave our property until 100% paid for.  Final payment can be made by cash if picked up locally at our farm, Zelle, or Venmo friends and family option.

Doelings are typically weaned between 12-14 weeks, but can also possibly leave as bottle babies at a younger age to buyers that have experience with bottle babies.  Bucklings, and future wethers, are weaned from dams between 6-8 weeks and put on a bottle.

We guarantee that any goat leaving our facility will be healthy and have been given age appropriate vaccinations.  Once the goat leaves our possession, we have no direct control over its environment or the herd management of the buyer and, therefore, cannot guarantee the health of the goat beyond that point.  We do not guarantee future conformation, milk production, show wins, or temperament.  There's just no way to guarantee any of that.

If you purchased a doe for future breeding, and the goat turns out to be a free martin that has been verified by testing at UC Davis, we will either refund the purchase price of the goat or offer another one at comparable value if available.

If you would like to further pursue a goat purchase from us, please complete the New Buyer Questionnaire  This is a required form if you are new to purchasing a goat from Platinum Oaks.

Our relationship with our buyers does not end once the sale is complete.  We are available ANYTIME for any questions or concerns you might have.  We strive for a life long relationship with our buyers, who quickly become friends!
